FiRst SNoW!!

It snowed yesterday for the first time this winter. At least enough snow that we could actually go outside and play in it. So, of course we did and it was Benjamins first experience with snow. He loved it!! He didn't even mind crawling around in it he actually thought it was pretty fun. He didn't really like the snow ball fight Andrew and I had together though. He cried when ever we threw a snow ball at each other.

First Haircut

Andrew has been telling us lately that the reason he's not listening to us is because he can't hear us because his hair is in his ears. So, last night we decided we'd better do it. He didn't even argue. We usually have to bribe him to get it cut and he'll still cry through the whole thing. But he was SOOOO good. Bob even let him pick which # he wanted. He chose a 1!!! It is sooo short, but he loves it. He says it will be easier to wash his hair now (another thing he can't stand having done). Since we've had such a hard time with Andrew we decided we'd start early with Benjamin and so last night we gave Benjamin his first hair cut. All he wanted to do was play with the razor. I've posted their before and after pictures.

The Sweetest Thing!!

Picture it... Sunday morning, Bob and I stayed up WAY to late the night before playing Mario Party, church doesn't start until 11:30, even better, Bob's meetings don't start until 9:30. Benjamin's asleep in our bed (he's been sick so he spent a lot of the night with us) Andrew has come in to snuggle and wait for everyone to wake up. The MOMENT Benjamin starts waking up I hear Andrew lean over to Bob and ask "Can you and me and Benjamin go make breakfast for mommy?" With smile, I silently listen as they debate over what to make, blueberry pancakes YUMMMM!!!Then proceed to the kitchen to make them. I love being close to the kitchen because I got to hear the WHOLE process. Andrew dragging the chair across the kitchen floor so he can help. Yelling across the kitchen to daddy that he stirred the mix and it was ready. Then, the debate as to where mommy was to eat. It had been decided, not to long later Andrew appears at my bedside with a plate of pancakes. I ask him if Ican eat in the kitchen with him and he replies "no, you eat in here and sleep" Well, I convinced him I would be lonely all by myself in bed so I would eat with him, it actually took some time before he would agree. He is the sweetest little boy. What a perfect way to start the day.

So Big!!

I can't believe Benjamin's already 8 months!! He enjoys playing with Andrew and getting into everything! He has bumps and bruises though because he's so curious and trying to get into everything, like trying to climb up the couch to get food. He's ALWAYS getting high centered on his toy bucket trying to get to what's on the other side. Andrew's loving being a sunbeam, the other day they made crowns, learning that Heavenly Father is a king, he wears the crown everyday!!

He has so many bumps and bruises! I'm notused to such a hands on curious liite one. I think this is how most babies are though right?

Andrew's a Sunbeam!

Yesterday Andrew went to primary for the FIRST time! He was pretty excited! I was wondering how he would do because I'm in there but he did really well. Of course the sunbeams are alwaya a little awe struck when they first enter primary and this group was no exception. There are only three of them and the other two just barely turned 3 so, other than Andrew it's a pretty young group. I was pretty impressed though, they sang when they knew the songs and satand listened to the teacher. Of course they only stayed for the first 15 minutes or so, just long enough for singing time. When asked what he did in primary he'll tell you that they sang 'his songs' and that he was VERY good and didn't hit. We'll see how next week goes but so far he LOVES primary!
