Christmas Morning

We had a GREAT Christmas. We stayed home this year. As sad as I was to not be home in Colorado with all our family and snow, I really enjoyed being at home. We had a VERY low key day. Andrew first got up around 2 but Bob sent him straight back to bed. He came backa few minutes later saying he couldn't sleep. Good thing I'd turned off the Christmas tree lights so he couldn't see that Santa had been there. Anyway, he climbed in our bed and I told him he had to sleep though. He did, he went right to sleep. Then, around 5:30 Bob woke up! What was going on!! Benjamin had been waking up about every 2 hours already so I was EXHAUSTED!!! Yet, around 6:30 Benjamin was crying and it woke up Andrew. First thing he said... "Santa's been here! Is the sun up yet?" Who toldhim he had to wait for the sun? Well, I decided we might as well get up daddy was already awake making breakfast anyway, so why not. Good thing we started when we did, it took us ALL DAY! We didn't finish until dinner time. Only because after Andrew opened a present he'd want to play with it, so we'd takeit out of the box and he'd play for a little while. We also made him stop and play whenever Benjamin needed a nap. He was pretty good about it. Thank you to all who helped make our Christmas special the boys love EVERYTHING they recieved and play with them all the time. Daddy loves the Wii moms and dads. ( my parents bought us the Wii and Mom and Dad Borland, you got us games and controllers, THANKS!) We hope you all had a wonderful day.

Decorating the tree

Andrew so proud of the new tree

Benjamin Excited about the new tree!

Andrew's spot on the tree

The other day Bob came home with a gift card to home depot. So, we decided we might as well get a tree now instead of waiting until after the holidays. Good thing too. There was only one good one left that we liked. So, we now have tree!! Andrew was very excited! We set it up and then last night we decorated it. I thought Benjamin would try to get into it, but he hasn't shown much interest. He just looks at the lights. He does like to play the drums on the packages underneath the tree though. Andrew really enjoyed decorating the tree, of course he put everything in the same general area. Andrew is VERY proud of the job he did, as you can see in the last picture. Now he really can't wait for christmas to come. Yesterday we were talking about how on christmas eve he's going to have to go to bed like a good boy because santa doesn't come unless you're sleeping, well he actually took a nap yesterday and when he woke up he asked if santa was still there and if he could come out of his room. Just a few more days! Bob must have told him how many because this morning he said that daddy had to go to work one more time and then he would be home for 3 days and then it would be christmas!

Christmas Train

Last night we did christmas trains. This was the first for Andrew. He really enjoyed eating all of the candy. He did have fun helping Bob. I really think Bob had more fun decorating though than Andrew. Benjamin enjoyed it too, he tried to get into all the candy, and smiled EVERY timeI took a picture of Andrew. It was pretty funny, after every picture, I'd look at Benjamin and he'd be looking at me all cute and ready for his picture to be taken too.I also threw in a picture of the boat parade we went to a few weeks ago. It was pretty fun to see the boats all lit up.

Christmas

As the year comes to a close and as I reflect back on the year, I realize that I really have a lot to be thankful for! Benjamin Jesse joined us this year. He was born May 13, 2007 and was 9lbs 5 oz. He his such a joy to have in our family. We call him big happy Ben. He's ALWAYS smiling and thinks that Andrew is the greatest thing alive. He's starting to "crawl" and get into ALL of Andrew's things. He's a very curious little guy. Andrew turned three in May and thinks that Benjamin is the greatest thing in the world. He tells me everyday that Benjamin is, not mine. I LOVE IT!! Andrew loves taking care of Benjamin and showing him new things. Bob and I are doing well. We got to go to Colorado for our aniversary this year which was a lot of fun. It's always fun to spend time with family. We have loved this past year, it has been good to us and look forward to a fun and exciting 2008!! Love you all! Hope you enjoy the slide shop

Happy Holidays!

Well, now that I've figured outhow to post pictures! This should be a breeze!! I'll give ya'll an update on the boys. Andrew is so smart! He counted to 100 the other day. We were driving home from taking Bob to work and he was counting the trains he just kept counting! He used to stop at 29 and ask what was next and then stop at 39 and ask what was next and so on, but a few weeks ago, he just didn't stop! Benjamin is doing the camo crawl and getting into EvEry THing!! He's found the presents under the table that our tree sits on, and even if you block his way to them and try to hide them, he knows they are there and yesterday he got stuck between the rocking chair and the table trying to get to them. Uh oh!! He likes the shiny wrapping paper. Andrew is so ExCiteEd for christmas! Every timeit snows, he says it's christmas and time to open presents! Christmas day will be so fun this year. As sad as we are to not beable to be with everyone this year, we're just as excited to have our own little christmas and take ALL day if we want. So ExCiTinG!!!!

The boys in front of our little tree.

This was the only way I could get Andrew to smile. Silly boy:)
