March

We sure had a lot of fun in March. Here's Ben pretending to be Sierra. Andrew had just gotten done holding Sierra and when I turned around from putting her down, Ben had crawled onto Andrew's lap.
Of course, Andrew then didn't want to be left out of the fun and had to climb onto Ben's lap. These boys have SO much fun together! We had several sunny days in March, so Bob and Ben decided to do more than just stick their feet in. As you can tell, Ben thought it was a little cold. Probably around 65. (We don't have a pool heater , you don't need one when it gets over 100 several days during the summer).
He decided that sticking his feet in the waterfall was just right!

While Ben was enjoying the water, Andrew was participating in the school play. The Missoula Children's Theater Company came to Andrew's school and Andrew was able to be part of the cast. The best part, SEVERAL of his friends were also cast. So he was able to do something fun with his friends. It was GREAT! They performed a loosely based version of Robinson Crusoe...VERY loosely based on the book.
here we have Ambree Butler, Amy Jensen, and Braden Peterson in the back, with Davin Peterson, Sydney Butler, Andrew Borland and Lily, a girl from Andrew's class in the front. They were part of the Hula dancing Color changing Chameleons! As you can see, the front of their costumes change color.

Andrew, Sydney and girl I don't know, had a separate little part. They walked on stage, waved to the audience then Andrew and Lily walked off while Sydney stayed and waved. Then the other two waged their fingers at her and came back to pull her off stage. It was SO cute and he LOVED being able to do something different and special.

Here they are showing us what chameleons do...pinch their fingers and stick their tongues in and out.
All of the Hula dancing color changing chameleons.

What a GREAT experience for Andrew. He LOVES to perform and be on stage. It made it ALL the better that he was able to do it with several of his friends.

Going goth

Check her out. At 2 weeks, she's already making a fashion statement. Poor thing's been going around for the last week with a purple mouth. Bob scared a few of the girls and told them we were introducing her into the world of goth. I guess I should mention the poor thing has thrush. Her medicine is what makes her lips purple, as well as anything that goes in her mouth. We've already stained a few outfits.
She's so CUTE!

Sierra's first few days at home

I decided that before Sierra got to much bigger, I had better document her royal highness. I also don't want to get to far behind. The boys LOVE her, they always fight over who gets to hold her. The other day I had Andrew hold her on the couch while I took a shower, when I get out I heard her crying so I went to check on them. Poor Andrew was also in tears. He's so sensitive and was so sad because he couldn't console her. What a great big brother. Ben LOVES to give her kisses, sometimes those kisses are licks....it's his favorite way to give kisses, so we have to watch him to make sure he gives her real kisses, NOT licks.
Patiently waiting to go home. We were lucky enough to take her home less than 24 hours after she was born. I was ready within 12. i just wanted to get home and get on with life, and I missed my boys. I figured i could recuperate at home. Lucky for us, we were home in time for dinner. Ben didn't want to stop holding her and go to bed. When he finally did head off to bed, he didn't want to go to sleep. He was worried she wouldn't be here when he woke up.

Sierra's been so good so far. She LOVES her sleep and doesn't like being messed with. She actually seems to sleep better when it's loud...good thing, she has two REALLY loud brothers. The boys just LOVE her to pieces and fight over who gets to hold her.

Fun in the back yard

See how much fun the boys are having in the new house? There are so many kids from the ward in our neighborhood that they just stop by and all play and have a BLAST! We LOVE it!

A LITTLE PREVIEW

Sierra Gail was born yesterday March 1, 2010 at 8:13PM.She was 9 lbs 2 oz and was 20 inches long. Bob had left around 6:30 to help my mom get the boys in bed because although I had just gotten my epidural, I was still only dialated to a 4. I was starting to feel some pressure just before 8. Then, as soon as he walked in and started talking, she didn't want to wait anymore. It was as if she was just waiting for him to get back. SO CUTE! Ben LOVES to hold her and doesn't want to share. Andrew is excited but still a little cautious of her.
