HELP!!!

Andrew has been asked to give a talk in primary in a few weeks. The topic for the month is prayer, so I thought we'd go with that. When I ask him what he knows about prayer, he says we pray to Heavenly Father, ask for blessings and thank Him. GREAT! But that's probably not enough for a talk. Any ideas? I know it doesn't have to be much, he's only 4, but I'm really coming up blank. I'd really like some help. THANKS!

Maybe tell a story about when Jesus prayed or when Joseph Smith prayed - show a picture. They've been told a million times but isn't that how it works in the church? Good luck.

Does he have a story from something that's happened to him that would apply? Maybe a picture that would go along?

Search the Primary lesson manuals, or even search The Friend, and find a cute little story. Good luc!

Hey Lisa - one more thought...keep going with the things Andrew knows now.....who prays (he does, you do, dad does, Christ did etc)...how do you pray (hanging upside down from the jungle gym, in front of 5 million people?), what do you pray for etc...That way it's Andrew's talk and something that he knows and shares. Like you said, he's four...has been closer to Heavenly Father more recently than we grown-up have and is wise in ways we don't understand. It's just the expressing himself part that he needs help with! Good luck again!
